Dr. Koncewicz is the founder of Oar to Shore Performance, a performance based physio practice that applies the principals of functional movement and rehabilitative medicine to patients with the goal of recovering from or preventing injury and acheiving their highest level of performance.
Gary received his doctorate degree from Misericordia University in 2013 and relocated to Georgia in order to pursue a career in orthopedics. After serving a clinical rotation at Cincinnatti Sports Medicine, he chose to continue collaborative care alongside physicans and surgeons both at OrthoAtlanta and later with the world renowned Hughston Clinic. Before opening his own practice, the last decade of his career was focused entirely on orthopedic and sports injuries for those seeking both operative and non-operative care.
Gary is certified in dry needling, selective functional movement assessment, and has a certification in applied functional science from the Gray Institute. He is currently working to become an EXOS Performance Specialist as well as an OnBaseU certified medical professional.
He is an experienced weightlifter (powerlifting, strength and conditioning) and recreational runner, swimmer, mountain biker, archer, marksman, paddler, former baseball player, and outdoor explorer.
He currently lives in Franklin, Georgia with his wife and two children.
He is licensed in Georgia, Florida, and Hawai'i.
